"Why Are We Here?" - You & The Universe & Everything In Between.

Achieving Your Health, Wealth & Happiness By 10-Minutes Daily Thoughtless Awareness.

"Why Are We Here?" - You & The Universe .

Dear Friend,

On a day in February 1977, when the famous theoretical physicist, Carlo Rovelli, was 21 years old and still busy with student politics at an Italian University, a housewife, Mrs Nirmala Shrivastava (aka Shri Mataji) stood up at a blackboard  in New Delhi, India, to explain to a bunch of journalists how the universe was created.

Among the statements she made, was this one:

"We can say that the process of Creation is an eternal process. Means the seed becomes a tree and the tree becomes a seed, and the seed becomes a tree. It goes on and on — it’s eternal."

This is simple enough to understand. Less easy to understand is the mathematics and terminology of the theory of Loop Quantum Gravity put forward by Carlo Rovelli and two other physicist in 1988. The gist of Loop Quantum Gravity is that the universe continues to expand (cosmic inflation) following it's creation ('big bang') but at some point in the future, will collapse in on itself (quantum gravity) and then the whole process will begin again on repeat (loop) - exactly like a seed growing into a tree and then becoming a seed again ad infinitum.

How is any of this relevant to you?  Because, according to Shri Mataji, the process has a purpose and the purpose is you. Or, more precisely helping you to become all that you can become by fulfilling your evolutionary potential. More about this below.

Also below: a guided meditation to help you overcome social anxiety, and how to make 'curative' water - very useful for skin conditions and stomach ailments.

 Best wishes

A Guided Meditation For Your Return-to-the-Office Anxiety.
You've been told that with lockdown lifted, you'll be returning to the office; and while a part of you welcomes the prospect, another part of you is a little anxious. The reason being that the freedoms that came with working from home  -  being in your PJs, playing music, messing about - are about to be replaced by conformity. Can you manage? Here's some help...
How To Make Your Own 'Curative' Water At Home .
People have been travelling to Lourdes, a small market town in southwestern France since 1858, when a 14 year old girl, Bernadette Soubirous, saw an apparition of the Virgin Mary.  The Lourdes water is famous for a large number of medically-certified cures. From experiments in Sahaja yoga , water that has this quality is simply 'vibrated' water, wich you can make at home like this...

According to positive psychology the key to feeling happy in life , is by having something meaningful you're engaged with that gives you daily purpose. The bigger the purpose , the more sustained your motivation is going to be  and the more opportunity for happiness. Here is the biggest purpose of all - how we all fit in with the universe...

Quote of the Week

" The power of love, these vibrations, Shri Adishankaracharya has called them 'saundarya lehari' (saundarya = beauty lehari = wave Waves of divine beauty), these are the very waves that regulate the universal processes. Nobody cared to know of this power or use it. All our political organizations are based on the principles of hate. If they understand our inner power of love, all these wars will stop and wisdom will be restored in the universe. "

March 10th 1979, New Delhi (India), Talking to Sahaja Yogis.

" I've got to the point in my meditation practice where I do experience thoughtless awareness for a few seconds and it's great. Then I start thinking about someone or something and find that I'm daydreaming. How do I overcome that? "
In Reply:

Sahaja yoga meditation is effortless, so there's nothing to overcome. When you've finished daydreaming , go back into thoughtless awareness. Repeat, if this happens again. If you can't get back into mental silence , that's fine; get up: your meditation session is finished.

If you find yourself thinking about the same thing whenever you sit for meditation, it could be your subconscious mind prompting you to attend to something that needs your attention. In that case, give the matter a bandhan to let the Universe solve for you whatever needs solving.

Healing Your Finances ...With Meditation.

Achieving Your Health, Wealth & Happiness By 10-Minutes Daily Thoughtless Awareness.

Healing Your Finances With Meditation.

Dear Friend,

Your health is holistic. This means that your overall wellbeing doesn't just depend on feeling OK physically. It also depends on being mentally and emotionally in a good place at the same time.

Any knock to your mental or emotional wellbeing could eventually show up as some physical ailment. This is the definition of psychosomatic illness.

When people report feeling better or getting cured of a psychosomatic illness through daily sahaja yoga meditation, what the kundalini is doing is re-integrating the disjointed facets (chakras) of a person to bring about 'wholeness' (holistic).

Being stressed about your finances or having money worries, is a mental knock for anybody, but your meditation can work on it for you. Your kundalini enters your Nabhi chakra . Below is a guided meditation to give you a taste.

Also below, the importance of greasing your feet, and personal development without paying for a course.

You're Only As Old As Your Feet  - The Benefits Of Ayurvedic Padabhyanga.
Your feet are a map of your body and all it's internal organs; look after your feet and your body will remain healthy. In Ayurveda, traditional Indian medicine, this idea lies at the heart of 'padabhyanga' - the practice of foot massage, which you can do on yourself. It's best done after a footsoak with some coconut or sesame oil. Here's what it does for you...
Light On Trees: How To Grow & Develop Yourself .
An online report projects the value of the global personal development market 2020 -2027  to be about USD 54 billion. That's a lot of money that people will be spending on workshops, seminars, podcasts, training and coaching to ultimately increase their happiness. But like trees in sunlight, real growth comes from within and it's free. This is how it works within you after kundalini awakening...
Healing Your Finances - Mantra Meditation On Your Nabhi Chakra.
In Indian iconography, the goddess of wealth and wellbeing is Shri Lakshmi -  'Lady Luck', who is associated with the Nabhi chakra (stomach) in Sahaja yoga. If your Lakshmi is weak, it will be reflected in what's going on with you on the money front. To strengthen your Lakshmi, certain mantras (sanskrit formulas) have been discovered to be effective. Here they are...

Quote of the Week

" The Truth is your Spirit. It is eternal. It is the expression of God within you. Because we have not been able to achieve that in our consciousness, we are disturbed, upset, feel sometimes as if we are ruined people. But Spirit cannot be ruined. It cannot be dried out. It cannot be killed. It resurrects you, fills you up with all the blessings of the Divine. That's the connection you have to get. Any instrument that is made if it is not connected to the mains has no meaning. In the same way you are made so beautifully, so gloriously and delicately. That only thing you have to do is to put it to the mains [Kundalini connection] . And the joy of becoming yourself is fantastic. "

" My meditation photo seemed to come alive, literally, when I was meditating with a candle in front of it, but I still felt calm and relaxed. Was I imagining things or has anybody else mentioned that they had a similar experience? "
In Reply:

I could tell you a more extraordinary story about the photo of Shri Mataji, but for the sake of believability, I won't. Suffice to say , the photo seeming to 'come alive' is a common experience that seems to happen according to the level of sincerity with which one approaches Sahaja yoga meditation.

In many ways , the photo is the magic ingredient to a Sahaja yoga meditation. It may sound unsettling to see a photo turn real - it doesn't happen all the time by the way  -but  really all it feels like is seeing your loving grandma giving you a wink of encouragement.

Here are some documented, first-hand accounts of experiences involving Shri Mataji other people have had : Miraculous Mother .

For anyone wishing to experiment with the power of the photo on their meditation experience, there's a selection of meditation photos here.

The Future We Choose - Meditation & Climate Change.

Achieving Your Health, Wealth & Happiness By 10-Minutes Daily Thoughtless Awareness.

The Future We Choose.

Dear Friend,

Thank you for being a regular meditator. You may be doing more for the planet than you realise. Every time you raise your vibes by raising your kundalini to meditate, you're helping the environment by improving the vibes of your immediate surroundings.

As you develop yourself in Sahaja Yoga, you'll begin to experience more directly how this is happening. It's not just a nice thought :o).

So, many thousands of individuals in different countries around the world, who are investing a little time each day in their own inner peace and wellness, can have a collective, global effect. We're co-creating the future we choose.

The Future We Choose, is also the title of, perhaps, the most important book on tackling climate change, written by the driving force behind COP21 - The Paris Climate Conference 2015- Christiana Figueres and Tom Rivett-Carnac. You can quickly get up to speed with their work below.

Also below , a guided meditation for thinking less and achieving more, plus why sahasrara is your most powerful chakra.

Best wishes

Think Less & Achieve More - A Guided Meditation For Problem Solving.
The answer is out there ; you've just got be quiet enough in your head to hear it. The way to do that is to first cool your liver down . Then tune into the most honest and sincerest part of yourself , which is your spirit in your heart. Once you've done that , remain in a state of silent expectancy at the top of your head  and 'listen' for inspiration. Try with this guided meditation.
Why Sahasrara Chakra Is Your Most Powerful Chakra .
Statues of the Buddha usually give prominence to his agnya chakra at centre  of forehead and the 'thousand-petalled lotus' (Sahasrara)  at crown of head, which serves as  a visual representation of the state of Nirvana. When your saharasara opens out, even a little bit during your own meditation, it becomes the gateway to some really deep meditative experiences. Here's why it's so powerful...
The Future We Choose - Global Optimism .
Christiana Figueres was the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Tom Rivett-Carnac is a political lobbyist on climate change and spent two years living as a Buddhist Monk. The power of meditation is mentioned at least once in their book. They also jointly founded this Global Optimism group to educate the public on the key issues.

Quote of the Week

"Financial problems also can be solved through Sahaja yoga.Tomorrow I will tell you how all the social problems, family problems, all these problems can be solved, if once you get your self-realisation. Because they are all man-made problems. If all human beings become saintly then all these problems will be solved automatically. But we don't need too many. As many as can come. If they are sincere it can trigger. Now whatever I have said again to be taken as a hypothesis. The only thing you have to have faith in yourself and believe in what I am saying that you all are beautiful people. Also, believe in me that you have done nothing wrong which cannot be dissolved by this power of love. "

" The Indian music played during the meditation classes was very relaxing and helped me to meditate. Is any of it available on Spotify? "
In Reply:

I'm not sure if the exact same tracks are available on Spotify, but Spotify does have a wide range of musical genres and so may have other albums by the same artists we play.

You could try a search on Spotify for Shiv Kumar Sharma (Santoor) , Hari Prasad Chaurasia (Flute) and Kishori Amonkar (Vocal).

Also I have some tracks in my meditation music folder which you can listen to, by clicking on the 'meditation music' link at the bottom of this newsletter.
