Fire in Your Belly. How Metabolism is Key to Your Longevity.
Dear Friend,
The ' fire in your belly' (metabolism) is called Agni in Ayurvedic medicine and "is the cause of life, complexion, strength, health, nourishment, lustre, oja, teja (energy) and prana (life energy)."*
The transformation to your appearance and increase in your wellbeing that you get from your daily kundalini meditation is directly related to this power of fire working in you.
When this power of fire is disturbed or degraded then illness ('Roga') results, according to Ayurveda.

Buying Gold - Diwali Gift and/or Investment. Most people in India keep some gold in the house because it represents Shri Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth who manifests on your Nabhi chakra. Diwali (yearly 'festival of lights', equivalent to Christmas) is when the most gold is bought. Gold also has symbolic significance because it is untarnishable and so represents the perfection of yoga (Alchemy) . You can buy some gold here for Diwali...
"When the fire in the stomach, that is within us, when it is enlightened, then it enlightens our attention (discriminatory power)...The food is digested by this fire within us. When you vibrate the food and eat it, it goes in the stomach and makes the fire of the stomach that ‘Swaha Shakti’, that Swaha power. And then this power makes the food act like a medicine. That’s why we put vibrations in what we eat, because once it goes in the stomach, it will excite that Swaha power in you. Like this, all the powers of the fire, which are good powers, whatever are auspicious are good powers, the good side of it, they get enlightened, awakened...That’s what Havana is. So this is the Nabhi chakra. "

I sometimes get the cool breeze on top of my head even when I'm not meditating. What's the cause of that?
In Reply:
Your kundalini doesn't just rise when you're paying attention to her in meditation.
She could also rise in response to something in your immediate environment.
The space you're in could have good vibes or maybe the person you're sitting or standing next to has good vibes.
Also if you're a pre-dawn meditator, you could be getting the benefit of that.
