Early Riser. Getting What You Want Using 'Brahma Muhurta'.

Early Riser. Getting What You Want Using 'Brahma Muhurta'.

Dear Friend,

If you're putting a lot of effort into trying to achieve something and it's not working out, then your timing could be wrong.

You could have started off something at the crucial time when it was least likely to succeed. So anything after that is a waste of time.

When you begin something, according to the Vedic concept of time, is more important than the effort you put in.

This idea is so important in Indian culture that things like wedding dates, or the date of moving into a new home, is not decided until an astrologer is consulted about the most auspicious time to guarantee success.

This is what the moon calendar below, hinting at the best day to do something, is all about.

What the moon calendar, however, doesn't show you is the break-down of the most auspicious times during the course of the day (shown below).

What the table shows is a break-down of a day into 'muhurtas' or 48 minute chunks of time. There are 30 in each day but only the last 12 are shown.

Each muhurta has its own character, indicated by its name. A muhurta can also be bad (inauspicious) or good (auspicious).

At two specific times of the day the muhurta is actually lucky (very auspicious). One is the Jiva muhurta  between 02:00 - 02:48 am when you're likely to be fast asleep.

The other one is the Brahma muhurta between 04:24 - 05:12 am which you could be awake for.

The importance of the Brahma muhurta is that ancient yogis considered it the best time for meditation. At that time you're considered to be in direct contact with the creator, Brahma. What you wish for, you get.

The exact timing of all the muhurtas change according to the local sunrise time.

Current sunrise time in London is at about 7: 20 am, so Brahma muhurta is between about 5:40 - 6:30 am, which makes it even more easier for you to be awake for. More below.

Also below: a strange but effective way of dealing with conflicts in relationships; and, developing your spiritual strength.

Best wishes

P.

Managing Relationship  Conflicts - The Power of Your Left Shoe.
Supposing you've got a boss giving you a hard time at work. You've also put in your annual leave request, which they've turned down. There's nothing you can do about the power imbalance so what do you do? If you're in a bad mood, you could 'shoe-beat' them. If you're in a good mood, you could work on their center heart  chakra. You'll be surprised how effective this can be. Here's the secret...
Anjali Mudra - Centering Your Strength in Your Heart (A Meditation).
You only rise when you're centered. A simple way of centering yourself  is by using the Anjali Mudra of hatha yoga. This brings your ida and pingala nadis together (represented by your left and right palms) to bring you into balance. Holding the pose against your heart, while in meditation, strengthens your will ( will = desire + action). Here's the meditation that goes with it...
Brahma Muhurta - Changing The Course of Events  By Waking Up Before Dawn.
Brahma muhurta is that special 48 minutes that starts an hour and a half before sunrise.  When you meditate at that time, not only is it very easy to be thoughtless but also your kundalini connection to the source of creative inspiration is at it's strongest . You can get what you want and change the course of how your whole day goes. Here's why your meditation can be so powerful...

Quote of the Week

"we call it as Muhurta in Sanskrit, which means very suitable time, very apt time for doing something. Specially this one (Akshay Tritiya) is the one when whatever you desire, whatever you establish, whatever you start, anything, becomes successful, it is said.  "

Lately, I've been finding it difficult to get to mental silence because every time I sit for meditation I can't seem to push the things I'm worried about out of my mind. What can I do?
In Reply:

For calming a busy mind use an ice-pack on your liver. When your liver is cooled down, you'll notice how calmer you become mentally.

And you shouldn't try and push the worries from your mind. Deal with them, one worry at a time, with your meditation.

For example, supposing you're worried about the outcome of something, symbolically place the worry on top of your head and let your rising kundalini wash over it.

The worry represents an obstacle to the free flow of your kundalini . However, as you continue to hold your 'enlightened attention' on the problem, you may suddenly feel a rush of coolness at the top of your head as your kundalini 'pushes ' the worry though into the 'paramachaitanya' (self-organising principle of Nature).

Then it  is the paramachaitanya that takes over the worry. Notice what eventually happens in relation to that particular worry.

Things tend to work themselves out without you having to do anything, leaving you wondering why you worried so much.
