Body Tuning. How to Heal Yourself with Music.

Achieving Your Health, Wealth & Happiness By 10-Minutes Daily Thoughtless Awareness.

Body Tuning. How to Heal Yourself with Music.

Dear Friend,

Your body is like a musical instrument. When you're in tune you feel great. When you're not in tune, you don't.

Not being in tune is the basis of every ailment and to cure it you need the resonating power of sounds, of musical notes.

Unfortunately, as much as you may enjoy your Spotify playlist, it's unlikely to be doing much for you at a deeper, therapeutic level.

Indian classical music, on the other hand, is tailor-made to sort you out if you need it.

The reason Indian classical music can have a powerful therapeutic effect is because, according to the ancient Indian seers, it originates from the primordial sound of the universe.

That sound is AUM.

AUM is also the subtle sound made by your kundalini in her spiral movement from the base of your spine to the crown of your head.

The seven chakras of your body correspond to the seven notes of the musical scale. And it is your kundalini that knows how to play them.

When you listen to Indian classical music it resonates harmoniously with your subtle body.

Through this it's possible to get relief from anxiety and depression, throat problems, stomach problems and a host of other problem. More below.

Also below: feeling good from oil massaging your hair; and, building up your resilience by focusing on your 'root support' (Mooladhara).

Best wishes

Shiro Abhayangam - Ayurvedic Head Massage for Total Relaxation.
In yoga, your 'sukshma sharira' or subtle body is like an upside-down tree. The branches stretch downwards into the body and the roots are in the brain. This means that all your chakras have their roots in your Sahasrara (crown of head). This is why an oil massage of your head can be very therapeutic. This is very well understood in Ayurvedic medicine and is called 'Shiro Abhayangam', which looks and feels like this...
Building Your Resilience - A Mantra Meditation on Mooladhara Chakra .
Life ain't a sprint; it's a marathon. Your resilience is expressed through the mooladhara chakra from where your strength and stability also come from. Build yourself up with regular use of this mantra meditation on your mooladhara chakra...
Raga - How What You Listen To Affects You.
The therapeutic power of Indian classical music lies in the Ragas, which are precise melodic structures which carry a 'mood' and are tied to the time of day, referred to as a 'samay'. The charts here show you what ragas correspond to which chakras  and also the musical instrument  that a chakra is most affected by. With the benefit of this knowledge you can now create a Spotify playlist that does wonders for you.

Quote of the Week

"Indian classical music was based on AUM (primordial sound). At different times, certain music (melody)/ 'raga') should be played which describes a mood. Your Kundalini moves with the 'sapta swaras' ( the 7 notes from which melody/ raga is created). These seven swaras are built in your seven chakras. There was knowledge of exact swaras which would really make you feel nice. "

What I want to know is why are there hurdles to anything I'm trying to do? Nothing ever seems to run smoothly.
In Reply:

There are two positive ways of looking at hurdles, which, by the way, everyone experiences.

The first is that hurdles are a form of resistance-training that makes you stronger in order for you to overcome them.

The second is that hurdles can act as a guide for changing course. Be like water, which follows the line of least resistance.

Nature is always effortless.

From a yoga perspective, it's a fact of life that there are hurdles and obstacles in everything we try to do. This is why Shri Ganesha, the deity of your first chakra (Mooladhara) is regarded as especially important.

Shri Ganesha is known as 'the remover of obstacles' and is represented by the OM placed in front of every mantra.

The mantra is like an arrow aimed at a target and the OM is so that it hits its target.

Regularly listen to the powerful Shri Ganesha Artharvarsheersha Mantra in your morning meditation to make your day rum smoother.

How to Succeed by Letting Go. Power of Inherent Intelligence of Nature ( Paramachaitanya)

Achieving Your Health, Wealth & Happiness By 10-Minutes Daily Thoughtless Awareness.

How to Succeed by Letting Go. Power of Inherent Intelligence of Nature (Paramachaitanya).

Dear Friend,

I don't know what your experience has been, but for me the hardest thing about Sahaja yoga meditation when I first started was getting used to the idea of 'spontaneous action'.

Spontaneous action is where things work by themselves because of an inbuilt mechanism.

A good example is the process involved in digesting your food. Once you've chewed the food and swallowed, you can forget about it because your body's power of digestion takes over.

In a similar way, the power of your kundalini is spontaneous. It works by itself.

The other thing that works by itself is the inherent outward intelligence of Mother Nature, also known as 'Paramachaitanya', which your kundalini connects you to like a subtle umbilical cord.

First of all, it's difficult to believe that Nature could have a spiritual intelligence.

Secondly, its difficult to believe that this benevolent intelligence could be focused on you as an individual, for your betterment.

But that's the definition of Love. This is what is felt on your hands and on your head as the vibes and which is acting everywhere.

The way you may notice this spontaneous action of Nature working for you in your day-to-day life is when you have a problem of some kind.

At the point when you've unsuccessfully tried to solve it and given up, that's when spontaneous action takes over and works it out for you.

Off-load the things that bother you. Success comes from letting go. More below.

Also below: feeling better with candle-light; and, a meditation for your self-fulfillment.

Best wishes

Power of the Candle - Chasing Your seasonal Blues Away.
Diwali - the Indian festival of lights - may be over, but keep your bright candles burning. As it becomes colder and dark earlier, most people feel a pull into their left channel (blue).  Candle light is the way to beat it. Here's how to use the flame to chase your blues away...
Self-fulfillment - The Light Above Your Head (a Meditation).
Your heart chakra is directly connected to your Sahasrara (crown of your head). You can make use of this in meditation for wish-fulfilment, the highest form of which is self-fulfillment. Experiment with it using this very effective guided meditation...
Effortless Action - The Art of Achieving Much by Doing Little.
In Eastern philosophy, especially as expressed in martial arts, is the idea of being so in tune with your environment or things surrounding you that you are in flow all the time and all action is effortless and takes no energy away from you. This is what you want to aim for - where the power of your morning kundalini meditation spills out into your day and makes it blossom. Refresh your understanding of 'Paramachaitanya'...

Quote of the Week

"First you must have full faith in the capability of this All-Pervading Power. As soon as you are detached... whole thing changes completely, because you transfer all your responsibilities, all your problems to this Divine Power, which is so powerful, which is so capable, which can work out anything. So, whenever you think that this problem, you are going to solve, you are the one who is going to do it, then alright, the Divine Power says, “Alright, try your luck!” But if you can really put this problem to the Divine Power, it will work out.  "

How can I deal with anxiety and a feeling of lack of being in control?
In Reply:

Anxiety, like feelings of insecurity, is mainly related to your center heart chakra.

But combined with a feeling of not being in control, relates the anxiety to your nabhi chakra and void as well.

Your Nabhi chakra relates to your material security. Your void represents your state of equilibrium, from where the feeling of being off-balance or not in control may be coming from.

A simple remedy is to place your right palm across your stomach while you meditate, so the vibes flow directly to your Nabhi and Void to give a feeling of calm.
