Finding Your Inner Sunshine.

Dear All,
Find your inner sunshine. If you've ever spent time in a warm climate then you know how upbeat and outgoing the people there generally are because of the weather.

The warmth of the sun really does lift the mood and raise your energy levels. To counter the effects of this cold snap we're having, below is an easy guide to doing  a 5 minute 'surya namaskar' ('sun salutation') to put the spring back into your step as you leave for work in the morning.

If you're out of practice of doing hatha yoga, and the leg movement in surya namaskar may be too much of a stretch for you , then do what I do, which is to just sit and navel gaze for 5 minutes instead. There's a good reason why it's called the solar plexus and the meditation and kundalini's action have a more powerful effect (described here).

Of course, you can do both.

How To Get Freedom.

Dear All,
If the scene above on the left is familiar to you, then why not break free one day a week and walk. Here's how this relates to your meditation goal.

As we form mental habits(conditionings) this shows up as the tendency to run our life on repeat: we take the same route; we sit in the same place and we eat the same lunch. If you're looking for some positive, life-enhancing change, then this is probably not the best starting point.

By the simple gesture of making a slight change to a routine - especially a routine that is forced on you, like the commute to & from work- not only are you reasserting your self-determination but you are also taking one small step out of the rut, if you feel you are in one.

This, in a nutshell, is the transformative potential of achieving your thoughtless awareness even for a few seconds at a time, wherever you are: It will lift you out of the mental conditionings that have solidified as limiting life circumstances, and set you free.

Below is a reminder of the best posture for meditating.

All You Need To Know About Sahaja Yoga Meditation

Hi, and thanks for coming to the session of sahaja yoga meditation on Tuesday. You can begin to feel the extraordinary benefits of the meditation even after just 1 week of practice, so to help get you started, below are 3 free guided meditation tracks that you can download to your phone.

1. What you can gain from investing 10 - 15 minutes a day in yourself - The Benefits.
Below are what other people coming to the group meditations, and practicing at home, have said in a survey about their experiences.

The benefits of sahaja yoga meditation have been proven by scientific research which you can view by clicking here.

2. What makes Sahaja Yoga Meditation different from other meditation practices?
Answer: The ability to enter a state of mental silence ('Thoughtless Awareness') or real 'Inner Peace' without any effort.

3. Feel the 'Vibes' - How Your System Works:

4. So How Do I Meditate?

Answer: You do nothing. The Kundalini does everything. Have the meditation photo(in a glass frame if possible) and a candle in front of you. It helps. But it's up to you.

Remember that the meditation is just sitting still with your eyes closed and paying full attention to the space above your head until you feel the sensation of the kundalini as a 'cool breeze' above the head and on your open palms.

Ten minutes of meditation is sufficient (morning & evening) and your session can begin and end with 'raising of the kundalini and putting on a bandhan' as we did at the Tuesday session. Click here for demo.

Download these 3 'guided meditation' audio tracks to your phone and listen on headset while sitting still.

How To Stay Awake In Meetings.

Dear All,
If you ever pinch yourself under the table to stay awake during a meeting or secretly nod off at the computer at work, then taking a few minutes to massage a few special points on your head, could do wonders for your alertness.

And, at the same time, open out your sahasrara chakra in a beautiful way, leading to more joy and fulfillment (through the meditation). The solution to many things is just a change of state, which is literally at your finger-tips.

The picture below shows you where these special points are on your head and this 5 minute demo clip(click here) will show you how to do the massage. If you do this at home try using coconut or almond oil.

Other benefits of giving yourself a regular head massage are:
  • Promotes deep relaxation and the release of tension
  • Benefits memory, cognition, and alertness
  • Brings clarity and strength to the senses
  • Nourishes and supports healthy hair, while also providing a lustrous shine
  • Strengthens the nervous system
  • Supports balance of the brain’s chemistry and hormones

At the start of your meditation practice, you may feel a little warmth or tingling on some of the fingers or above the head. This is part of the kundalini's cleansing action of your subtle system. After a while, you'll experience a more cool pleasant sensation.

To make the cleansing process faster, it is recommended that you have in front of you the meditation photo from the meeting - place in a glass frame- and a candle. The photo along with candle also supports your meditation by providing a powerful source of vibes which you'll be able to feel for yourself.

Ten minutes of meditation is sufficient (morning & evening) and your session can begin and end with 'raising of the kundalini and putting on a bandhan' as we did at the Tuesday session. Click here for demo.

Remember that the meditation is just sitting still with your eyes closed and paying full attention to the space above your head until you feel the sensation of the kundalini as a 'cool breeze' above the head and on your open palms.

Below is the subtle system chart showing where the energy centres are and click here for a short animation of the rising kundalini.

Tuning Yourself Up To Make Better Decisions + Where Does The Universe Come From?

Dear All,
When you have an important decision to make, do you go with gut instinct or your rationality? Both could lead to less than ideal choices.

Try this: the next time you're faced with choice A or choice B , just close your eyes, go into thoughtless awareness  and see which of the choices gives you a cool sensation on the hands. That's the one.
Below is a short and easy guide for tuning up your sensitivity to vibes.

See you at group meditation in Chelsea tomorrow.

PS. On the matter of 'Spanda Shakti' and 'Unified Field', if anyone wonders how the universe came into being, see the interesting quote of Shri Mataji's from 1977 about the cyclical universe below. This is only now being put forward by Quantum physicists as a viable explanation for how the universe works : the theory is called the 'Big Bounce' to distinguish it from the current model of the 'Big Bang' . For further reading see Carlo Rovelli's Reality Is Not What It Seems. Or click here to read the excerpt from the 1977 sahaja yoga lecture: The Creation.
