Why you should look after your feet.

Dear All,

Being tuned in to how you're feeling vibrationally and knowing how to change it through meditative practice is the key to managing the things that may seem to be outside of your control.

If you've got to the stage where you can feel the cool vibes above your head when you meditate, then there are two actions taking place.

Firstly, the vibes, like a gentle fountain of coolness, cascades onto your left and right sides and has a cleansing effect. This is how over time you'll notice that you become more centred and balanced.

Secondly, the kundalini's connection gets better at the crown chakra(sahasrara). This is when most people begin to notice the helpful coincidences.

The combination of these two builds up your confidence in yourself and you'll realise that any difficulties, set-backs, problems are all relative. It's just how you react to them that makes them so. This is what is called Maya or illusion.

To improve your vibes and vibrational sensitivity, the best way is through regular use of the footspa: resting feet for 10minutes in cool/cold , salt water in the evenings before bedtime.

The added benefit of the footspa, especially as the weather gets hotter, is that it takes out the build up of heat in the body that can make you feel 'jangly' and unsettled within yourself, which can lead to difficulty in getting a restful night's sleep.

See you at group meditation tomorrow.

Not enough time for meditation? Use these 2 mp3s on your phone.

Dear All,
Here's a quick shortcut if you're not getting enough time to meditate:

Download these two mp3 mantra meditations(play this 1st & play this 2nd) to your phone and listen to them while walking, travelling or sitting at your desk at work. Listening can give an immediate boost to your kundalini and vibes and will make you feel great.

The first one has mantras for strengthening mooladhara and nabhi chakras(Ganesha atharvasheersha & Shri suktam) and the second one is to help open out your sahasrara chakra to give you a better connection

In case you missed info about mantras last week click here or about the 'Strange happening on Cauldwell street' Click here.

See you tomorrow at group meditation.

Using mantras to achieve a deeper and more transformative meditation

Dear All,
The real power of the meditation photo (click to download) begins to show when you use mantras to clear your chakras.Below is your 'starter pack' for experimenting with mantras.

In last week's email: Your health guide on your finger tips, we saw how the chakras are coded on the fingers and by rubbing them you're able to clear a chakra.
This doesn't always work , however. Reason?

Life experiences, our family background and the general environment we move about in can leave deep-seated imprints on the chakras. Some of it good; some of it not so good. For example, the effect of a distressing experience in childhood that is reflected on the chakras is not going to go away with a finger rub.

The mantras work. They work in a way that they wouldn't work for somebody without kundalini awakening because the mantras - in sanskrit- are the 'language' of the kundalini's movement. It's the kundalini that delves deep into a chakra to clear it out.

Ultimately, you will get a deeper and more transformative meditation.

To begin: download this mp3 of mantra meditation to guide you in the pronunciation.

Download chakras&archetypes sheet to say the mantras along with the mp3. The mantra 'formula' is at the top of the sheet : "Om twameva...etc". For each chakra what you need to do is insert the name of the archetype eg . 'Ganesha' into <insert name> in the formula.

So the full mantra for the mooladhara chakra would be : "Om twameva sakshat, Shri Ganesha, Sakshat Shri Adi Shakti Mataji, Shri Nirmala Devi Namoh, Namah!"

That last part of the mantra shows why this works better while meditating in front of the meditation photo.

Why does the meditation photo work at all? There's a clue in this strange but true story (click here)

Your health guide on your finger tips.

Dear All,

Here's a tip for looking after yourself.

Your chakras, which look after every aspect of your well-being are 'wired' into your finger tips, so whenever you feel pricking/tingling sensation on the fingers while meditating, just give the finger a rub  and you could be making yourself better in some way.

By the way, if the sensation is at the base of the fingers, then it's said to represent your father (right-hand) or mother (left-hand).

The photos of Shri Mataji's hands below provide a useful guide.

See you group meditation tomorrow.

Let's get physical - Did you know about The Bhavan Centre?

Dear All,
If you were considering learning some gentle hatha yoga stretches to improve posture and help you to more easily sit for meditation, The Bhavan Centre in west kensington may be a good place to know about.

I once did a summer sanskrit course there and what's nice about the place is that it's like stepping into cultural India. They have a range of classes in Indian classical music and dance, as well as regular concerts. Learning hatha yoga there probably comes as close as you could get to travelling to India to learn it.

Further below are more of what you said about your experiences from sahaja yoga meditation.

More of you report (see chart update below) weird and wonderful coincidences as a result of your meditation - for an explanation of how/why this is happening click here
More of you are looking younger/better/happier according to what your're being told by friends/family. How is that happening? Click here.

Not all of you make use of the meditation photo but those who do may have noticed that it enhances the energy of your living space. In a public Q&A in Holland Park School in 2000, here's what Shri Mataji had to say when asked about the photo.
