Why The Future Looks Bright.

Dear All,

Below are 3 books recommended for your summer reading list. They shine a positive light into 3 challenges society is currently facing, which are 1. increasing incidence of anxiety and depression  2.healthcare provision for an ageing demographic  3. economic displacement caused by technology.

The books lends support to a 2000 year old prediction about en masse kundalini-awakening(sahaja yoga), which is that through this human beings will no longer get sick or old ; will exist in a state of 'bliss-consciousness'('nirvikalpa samadhi') and society will be in harmony and at peace with itself with everybody spending time doing what fulfils them.

Utopia? Yep. And another book on the bestsellar list is entitled Utopia for Realists(Rutger Bregman) which is about Universal Basic Income(UBI) or Free Money For All!

Check out the recommended 3 below:

Meditate: Just doing It - Some 'Shaktis' Sharing Experiences

Dear All,
Nothing succeeds like success and the gap between aspiring to do something and just doing it is a mile wide and can be very difficult to cross.

There's a phrase used in the entrepreneurial, start-up community in Silicon Valley, California and it is : "Fail Fast" . Which, to translate , means : If you have aspirations to achieve something you consider important, then don't wait for all your ducks to be lined up, start now - you can learn from your mistakes and improve along the way.

The same applies to your meditation practice : 'Just do it '. It really can transform things for you. Here's Shia LaBeouf, the Hollywood 'bad boy'  (over) emphasising the point... or better still, take your inspiration from the short interviews below with 4 'Shaktis' ( Kundalini as feminine energy/power in both men and women, but stronger in women).

'Lion on Mountain' - Meditation for Conquering Stress & Anxiety

Dear All,

I just dropped another meditation track for you below on soundcloud  - those of you on the Chelsea SY whatsapp group have already received it.

It's a guided meditation to strengthen your mooladhara chakra (strong foundation, stability, grounded) and your heart chakra (fearless, confidence, security), using two basic sanskrit mantras - intoned sound can touch the untouchable chakras.

To see whether this really works, click here to play/download.

Pressing All The Right Buttons.

Dear All,
Everything can be solved by learning to 'go thoughtless' whenever you find yourself in a situation and knowing which of your own 'buttons' to press as far as the vibes are concerned.

Below is a reminder of the  'machinery' you have, to work with, which you can master by making time to sit for 5-10 minutes whenever possible and observing yourself from within.

The image on the right shows you that you can 'self-diagnose' any obstructions on the chakras by paying attention to the sensations felt on your fingers. This is further explained in this video clip - click here.

Thanks for Coming!

Hi there!
Thanks for joining us for the group meditation yesterday. It may take a few more tries for you to begin to feel something. So, as promised, click here for a 10 minute guided meditation to download to your phone.

Here are the 3-steps to do a sahaja yoga meditation
  1. Raise your kundalini & put on bandhan - click here for demo.
  2. Steadily gaze at meditation photo while paying attention to the top of your head to see if you feel anything.
  3. Close your eyes, keeping focus of attention above your head until you begin to feel sensation of coolness on head.
That's it!
Below are some hints & tips for getting faster and better results and some of your questions answered.
Regards

In your practice of sahaja yoga meditation, there are just 3 things you're aiming for which tell you that you are making some progress:

1. 'Thoughtless Awareness'  - noticeable mental silence for a few seconds at a time, which then begins to develop.
2. Feeling 'vibes' - sensation of coolness on palms and above head. In the beginning a warmth or tingling sensation may be felt on some fingers.
3. Nourishment - there's the food you eat, then there's 'vibes' . When meditating there is sometimes felt a downward flow of 'vibes' from top of head into stomach. This can have a 'nourishing' effect on your appearance. The first you are aware of it is when family or friends remark on it.

1. Why the photo? - it's up to you. The usefulness of it will only become apparent from experience, so try meditating without the photo to see whether it's easier or harder to feel 'vibes' (cool sensation ) on palms of hands and on head.
Most of us keep the photo framed and also have a candle in front - but again, this up to you. Copies of the photo can be downloaded from here. Why Shri Mataji? Click here for Bio.

2. How often to meditate and for how long?
5-10 minutes in the morning & 5-10 minutes in the evening if you can manage it. To really begin to notice the benefits, try and be as consistent as you can for at least 1 week.

3. Group meditation versus meditating by yourself at home?
Both can help your progress. Practicing sahaja yoga meditation at home helps you to verify your own experiences. The group meditation gives you a booster; plus it's nice to get to know people who share your interest.

4. Sahaja yoga meditation versus mindfulness & other types of meditation?
Ultimately, sahaja yoga meditation is a state of being which is effortless as a result of kundalini-awakening. It is this that gives it a human evolutionary implication which is missing from other meditation practices. See below.

5. What are the health & well-being benefits of practicising sahaja yoga meditation ?
Dr. Katya Rubia, Professor of Neuroscience at King's College, London, has put together the website below - click here to view

The Power of Your Pure Attention.

Dear All,
The picture below explains one of the first 'gifts' from your practice of sahaja yoga meditation, which is that things start to work out and you're able to 'go with the flow more' in your day-to-day.

If you're not yet getting this, then let me know - I may be able to suggest a few things you could try, especially if your not feeling any vibes on your hands or above your head during your meditation or you're not sure whether you're touching thoughtless awareness even for a brief few seconds at a time.

See you at group meditation tomorrow.

Why The Space You Live In Is Important.

Dear All,
Is your living space secretly sabotaging your career and personal life? Vaastu Shastra, the ancient Indian art of architectural and interior design, suggests that it might .

For example, if you always feel tired, have debts and feel you're not making much progress at work; argue a lot and relationships don't go great, then it could be that the flow of positive energy is blocked at key points in your house because of the spatial orientation of the rooms or the way you've arranged the furniture!

Specific Vaastu tips for bringing more harmony and success into your life include:
  • Never keep a non-working clock in the house - stagnates life energy and finances
  • Avoid wardrobe mirrors which reflect the bed - couple quarrels, chronic tiredness, health problems
  • Unhappy or violent paintings on the wall -  sucks the positivity out of the room.
(source: Smart Living - Vaastu-style)

All superstitious nonsense, perhaps? Well, some pretty rational folk are taking no chances. In Hong Kong apparently, experts in  Feng Shui (Chinese equivalent of Vaastu) are in high demand in the business community to advise on office construction and design  to ensure success and prosperity.

Even in London, there's at least one global corporate that I know of which insisted that the address of it's new head office should begin with the number 1, as in 1 Any street, London; to help it achieve it's aspiration of beating it's competitors and becoming No. 1 in the market.

But hold on. Before you start flicking through the Yellow Pages looking for a Vaastu consultant, consider this: most of the fundamental vaastu advice relates to the construction and layout of the property. Which, unfortunately, is already fixed, unless you're building your own house.

So the answer may be to move to a place that has better vibes or stay where you are but raise the vibes to cancel out any negative vaastu.

Meditating with the photo and candle does exactly that. The photo emits vibes, so placing a glass-framed photo in your living space will improve the vibes and begin to create the positive outcomes that is claimed for Vaastu & Feng Shui.

Below is the proof that it does work - it comes from the survey that some of you completed about your own experience.

If you want a copy of the photo above to test it's properties as a 'lucky charm', then click here to download it  - photo. You can print online at Boots Photo here.

Ideally, and to preserve the vibes of the photo, keep in glass photo frame and do an 'arti'* of the photo when you sit down to meditate.

'Arti' is a bandhan - similar to the one you give yourself at start of meditation - done with the lit candle over the front of the photo , 3X.
