Atma Bodh. Recognising Your Own Divinity. Dear Friend,
At 9:15pm on Thursday October 7th 1982, there was a traffic accident on Caudwell street in Bedford that created a mystery later reported on in the local newspaper (clip below).
Jason Haynes, riding a scooter, collided with a car and while lying injured on the road, he says an Indian 'faith healer' came and placed her hands on different parts of his body.
When the ambulance arrived and he was taken to hospital, no injuries were found; apart from a lower back ache.
The thing of it though, is that there had been several witnesses to the accident who had remained on the scene until the ambulance arrived. Nobody else had seen the Indian lady 'faith healer'.
The mystery deepened when Mr Haynes later saw a photo of Shri Mataji in an advert for a Sahaja yoga program and identified her as the 'faith healer' who had come to help him at the accident.
But at the time of the accident Shri Mataji had been giving a lecture at the Guildhouse in Harper street and never left the building until 11pm; long after the accident scene had dispersed.
Being in two places at the same time; saving infants falling from a height and protecting people in peril all while being some place else are just a few of the stories associated with Shri Mataji.
In India, given it's rich spiritual heritage, the people there have no difficulty in recognising divinity when they encounter it. It is for this reason that they call Shri Mataji the 'Adi Shakti' (incarnation of the universal primordial Mother).
For the rest of us who may not have the benefit of such a heritage, it's Ok to take baby steps by recognising the divinity within yourself first.
This expresses itself at your every sitting in meditation when your kundalini is slowly giving you the knowledge of your (divine) Self ('Atma Bodh').
Then you too may one day achieve the feat of being in two places at the same time. More below.
