Fixing Your Disappointments. What You Need to Know About 'Paramachaitanya'. Dear Friend,
One of my disappointments as a student, was missing out on a chance to apply for a place at Princeton University in America, where Albert Einstein worked on The Theory of Relativity.
Of course, I may never have got in and it may have just been a pipe dream. But, who knows?
Anyway, fast forward a few years and after a few early career detours, I found myself working at a 'Big Pharma' (drug research) company in the UK.
One thing lead to another, and I was soon collaborating on a project with our US counterparts.
And so it was that one early November day, I boarded a flight from Heathrow to New York JFK on a project-related business trip. It was my first ever visit to America.
I was met at the airport and driven to New Jersey where I checked into the hotel that had been booked for me. The hotel was the Nassau Inn. And the place?
Princeton.
At the earliest opportunity, I took a guided tour of the Princeton University campus, which was a few minutes walk from the Nassau Inn.
That evening as I lay in bed chomping on the complementary luxury chocolate chip cookies that the hotel had provided, I wondered how the universe seemed to have flexed itself to put me into this position.
This is what the play of the 'paramachaitanya' is and it does fix your disappointments. More below.
