Getting By Better By Feeling Better - Your States Of Awareness.

Getting By Better By Feeling Better - Your States Of Awareness.

Dear Friend,

Consciousness is finer, more subtle, than matter but in every direction matter seems to dominate; from how you feel bodily to the perceived limitation of your circumstances.

Matter is congealed consciousness ('Jada Shakti' - the thing that imprisons us can also set us free).

Your daily kundalini meditation is a journey to give back to your consciousness (state of awareness) the upper-hand over the limitations of circumstance.

And in that journey it's like a door opening wider and wider to let the light in. So that you feel better and better and everything seems to flow better.

The first two states of awareness are described below.

Also below: divinity in dance and clearing your void.

Best wishes

Yoga Through Dance -Bharatanatyam.
Bharatanatyam is one of India's oldest classical dance forms. It is made up of a combination of codified movements of the legs, arms, hands  and facial expression in a mime set to music, to tell a story usually depicting the gods and goddesses in the Hindu Pantheon. The best dancers seem to be able to transform themselves into the divinity they're portraying as in this case...
'Ocean Of Illusion' - Clearing Your Void.
The region surrounding your Nabhi Chakra (navel) is called the 'Void' or 'Bhavasagara' ('Ocean of illusion'). If the world and everything that is going on in it is represented by the void, then it's like an ocean in which everyone is floundering in as if drowning. When the void is enlightened through your daily meditation, then it becomes a strong boat with which to sail through life's ups and downs. Here's a meditation for your void...
States Of Awareness - Pillar Of Light.
The 'Pillar of Light' is your kundalini. When She rises, the first state of awareness She tries to establish within you is 'thoughtless' awareness. The second state She tries to establish is 'doubtless' awareness. When She does this then meditation is no longer something you do but a state you can be in at any time. Then when you're walking, talking, laughing, running you're connected . Here's how She does it...

" Truth is an experience of the central nervous system. For example if this is cold I can feel it, it is cold. Even if a child touches this, it can feel it, it is cold. If it is hot we can feel it on central nervous system, that it is hot. In the same way the truth is to be known on central nervous system, not through mental projections."

"Sometimes I may be sitting on the sofa watching TV or listening to music and suddenly I'll feel my kundalini come up. I thought that it only comes up when you're meditating?"
In Reply:

Chances are that what you were watching or listening to had some spiritual truth to it and your kundalini was responding to that.

Truth is beauty and beauty is truth, according to vedic philosophy. The most beautiful things are in Nature and when an artist, working in whatever medium - audio, visual etc. captures some of that, then their creation has vibes, which the kundalini dances to.

When I first got my kundalini awakening I always looked out of place at Indian classical dance and music concerts and Urdu poetry reading evenings. The cultural divide was bridged for me by my dancing kundalini.

How To Cure Yourself - Being Your Own Doctor (Mostly).

How To Cure Yourself - Being Your Own Doctor (Mostly).

Dear Friend,

Your body was designed to neither get sick or grow old. But it happens.

The world's richest person, Jeff Bezos, has quietly invested in  a start-up, Altos Labs and Google has spun out Calico Labs ; both companies with the single aim of cracking the mystery of ageing and illness.

Right race. Wrong venue.

In an ancient Sanskrit hymn to Kundalini ('Lalita Sahasranama') the following descriptions are given:
  • v745 - Jara adhvanta ravi prabha (meaning: She dispels old age just as sunlight dispels darkness).
  • v748 - Roga-Parvata-Dambholih ( meaning : She destroys diseases of mind and body).
So while Jeff Bezos and Google are investing in scientific research, you can invest in yourself. Meditate.

More below about how to cure yourself by being your own 'doctor' - 'Physician, heal thyself'.

Also below: Rubbing your feet with oil (preferably after a foot soak) and the power of the meditation photo.

Best wishes

Take Care Of Your Feet & Your Feet Will Take Care Of You.
In Ayurvedic medicine, 'padabhyanga' - the massaging of the feet with oil - is a key therapy and is said to have a rejuvenating effect. It has long been known in Indian and Chinese traditional medicine that the feet are a map of the whole body and that the energy meridians and vital points responsible for the optimum flow of life energy in the body, are mirrored in the feet. A simple and effective practice of self-care then is a massage of your feet, like this...
Power Of The Photo - Your Left , Right & Centre.
They've been documented accounts of people getting their kundalini awakening or being cured of something  (see: 'Miraculous Mother') simply with a photo similar to this one. In Yoga, the hand poses shown are described as 'abhaya'/right hand & 'varada'/left hand mudras (removing fear and giving a boon to the viewer, respectively). See what effect you get with this guided meditation with photo...

"You should be cured by your own powers that is your kundalini which is lying here [tailbone/sacrum]. Which is is going to recharge your batteries[chakras]."

"How can I clear my chakras?"
In Reply:

Unless you feel 'catches' (blocked chakras) on your hands when you sit and meditate, the daily kundalini refresh with your meditation should be sufficient to keep your system in good shape.

If , however, you do feel 'catches', then rubbing the affected fingers will help clear the chakra(s) which the finger(s) correspond to.

Also an evening foot soak is an excellent daily detox for helping your chakras if you've had a busy day with a lot of interactions.

A handy quick guide to chakra self-care can be downloaded from here for easy reference: 'My Body; My Temple'.

Having Faith In Yourself & The Power Of Collective Awareness.

Achieving Your Health, Wealth & Happiness By 10-Minutes Daily Thoughtless Awareness.

Having Faith In Yourself. And The Power Of Collective Awareness.

Dear Friend,

What an extraordinary achievement by Rafael Nadal in fighting his way back from 2 sets down to win the Australian Open. He clearly had a lot of faith in himself.

But consider all the people that helped get him to that point: his coach, physiotherapist, manager, nutritionist etc. plus the cheering Melbourne spectators.

This illustrates the fact that if you're going to get anywhere, you need support. People need people.

So while having faith in yourself is essential to success, remember to cultivate your network.

In developing your practice of Sahaja yoga, this translates into drawing inspiration from the power of the collective. More about this below.

Also below, a simple - depending on how flexible you are - yoga posture for enhancing your 2 lower chakras; plus, a guided meditation to enhance your oratorical skills.

Best wishes

Butterfly Pose For Mooladhara & Swadisthana Chakras.
A good mooladhara chakra gives you a feeling of groundedness and stability, which are useful qualities to have at a time when so many things seem to be changing around us. A good swadisthana chakra helps your creativity, focus and problem-solving ability. The butterfly pose helps both chakras . Here's a 2 minute clip of how to do it properly...
Fear Of Public Speaking?  Use This Guided Meditation.
You know the feeling. You're attending a professional seminar or workshop and the facilitator says: " we'll go around the room and could everybody say a little about themselves." As your turn approaches, your hands are sweating and your heart is thumping so hard in your chest , you're sure the person sitting next to you can hear it. Calm down. There are worse situations to be in . Use this guided meditation to work on your vishuddhi chakra...
Power Of Collective Awareness & Deciding Things On Vibes.
While you do make progress by having an individual meditation practice at home, there's a dimension to your potential ability that's more easily cultivated in a collective of other people also practicing Sahaja yoga meditation. This relates to being able to feel people, places and things as vibes on your hands, which is the only sure way to decide on anything, as explained here...

"You have to have faith in yourself, in your spirit, by experiencing it. It’s something, a dynamic thing that has to happen within you. A tremendous thing."

"Is it possible to pick up negative energy from other people?"
In Reply:

The answer is yes and no.

A friend of mine (who meditates) works as a duty solicitor and gets called to police stations at night to interview recently arrested crime suspects in their cells, in order to provide them with legal representation.

Let's just say that some of the characters this friend has encountered are not necessarily one's you'd want to invite to a dinner party. The negative vibes have been such that they've half-seriously, half-jokingly mentioned how they've kept a lemon or some garlic hidden on their person to protect themselves.

So, unless you work as a night-time duty solicitor or something similar, you're unlikely to meet anyone who you could say you pick up 'negative energy' from.

However, in the course of a day mingling with other people - on public transport; at work - it's possible to absorb a little bit of what other people may be feeling (eg. insecurity & dissatisfaction)  and mistake that feeling for your own.

The best way to look after yourself in this case is to use a bandhan before leaving the house and doing a footsoak when you come back.
