How Not To Get Tricked By Your Mind.

Achieving Your Health, Wealth & Happiness By 10-Minutes Daily Thoughtless Awareness.

How Not To Get Tricked By Your Mind.

Dear Friend,

Your mind may not always be your best friend and if you over-rely on it, you may sometimes end up making the wrong decisions about things.

It's far better to go with gut instinct or intuition or, better still, what the vibes that you feel on your hands are telling you: if it ain't cool; don't do it.

The mind is obviously good for somethings; otherwise humans would be 'mindless', with all the downside that word implies.

According to Sahaja Yoga, the mind is formed by our ego (future projection/ aspirations) and our conditionings (past influence/upbringing). These represent activity on our right-channel/ the father side (pingala nadi) and our left-side/the mother side (ida nadi), respectively.

Your Kundalini opens out your central channel (sushumna), and allows you to get over it - ie.your ego and conditionings. This is the meaning of the Buddha's 'middle way'.

With daily meditation your kundalini is easily able to pass through the proverbial 'eye of the needle' which is your agnya chakra, also known as the third eye. From there She begins to spread out in the 'kingdom of heaven' ie your sahasrara chakra. Mind dissolves and you're connected with reality.  More below about your intricate agnya chakra.

Also below: A book you'll want to at least dip into to get some tips about seeing things clearer; and vitilise yourself by belly breathing and then stilling your mind.

Best wishes

Book Recommendation - 'The Art Of Thinking Clearly'.
Something for your summer reading list: a million-copy international bestseller by Swiss author and entrepreneur, Rolf Dobelli about the pitfalls of the lazy acceptance of everyday falsehoods. Until the default human awareness shifts from a thinking awareness to a non-thinking awareness, at least we can get the thinking right . Sample the book here..
Belly Breathing & Stilling Breath For Mental Silence.
There's a connection between your pattern of breathing and your state of awareness. More oxygen to the brain equals more clarity in your head. But also , the stiller the breath ; the stiller the mind . The following guided meditation uses these two pieces of information in a short breathing exercise to help you achieve the state of mental silence (thoughtless awareness)...
Your 3rd Eye - How Not To Get Tricked By Your Mind.
It's just as well that we don't have our 3rd eye (agnya chakra) visible on the forehead. The actual physical manifestation of the agnya chakra are the pineal and pituitary glands in the brain. On a subtle level it gives us our ego and super-ego (conditionings) - the mind - which forms the rose-tinted or dark-tinted glasses with which we view the world and react to it. You'll see clearer with the glasses off. About your agnya...

Quote of the Week

"I have already told you that the most important truth about you is that you are not this body, not mind, not your conditionings, your ego, but you are pure spirit ['Atma']. So now raise your right hand on your heart and say here with full confidence, twelve times, “Mother, I am the spirit.”

The divine Power is the ocean of knowledge, is the ocean of love, joy and bliss, but above all it is the ocean of forgiveness. So whatever mistakes you have committed can be easily dissolved by the power of this ocean of forgiveness. So please forgive yourself... "

" I'm meditating everyday, and can feel a coolness on top of my head and on the palms of my hands when I'm sitting in front of Shri Mataji's photo. Could you please tell me how I can awaken my friends kundalini? "
In Reply:

Glad you mentioned the photo because so many people claim to have felt their kundalini rise from just watching the photo.

If you feel your friend would be open to experimenting with the photo, ask them to hold both palms open towards the photo, and address the photo as if they're speaking to a real person by saying three times:  "Shri Mataji, please give me my kundalini awakening.".

Now ask then to close their eyes and sit for a moment. Then they can raise their right hand, placing it  a few inches above their head to check for any sensation of coolness or warmth. They can then swap hands and check with the left hand.

If they can't feel anything, you can check for them by holding your hand above their head.

Why You Need To Be Your Own Boss.

Achieving Your Health, Wealth & Happiness By 10-Minutes Daily Thoughtless Awareness.

Why You Need To Be Your Own Boss.

Dear Friend,

Set your spirit free.

In  a joint academic study conducted a few years ago by researchers at the University of Essex, University of Manchester and UCL, a boss at work is less likely to be stressed out than those lower down in the organisation.

Taking orders from somebody you may not particularly like, is clearly not good for the soul.

Whatever your situation, you'll feel much better by taking the time to cultivate your personal autonomy - at home. Which you can do by going inwards in your meditation, focusing on your void, which is your centre of equilibrium and regularly using the affirmation : "I am My Own Master".

The "I" is your spirit, so this inner work frees your spirit, which helps you to be more authentic, more spontaneous, understand yourself better and know what you want. More below.

Also below: why you should always try and vibrate the food delivered to your house; and tapping the power of the ocean within you.

Best wishes

It's A Love Thing - Vibrate Your Food Like This.
What's the difference between restaurant / take-away food and the home-cooked food you get at your mom's or grandma's house? The home-cooked food is prepared with love and so enhances your Nabhi (Chakra of your health, wealth & happiness in your stomach), in a way that your standard take-away would not. Here's how to put some love back into the food you eat by vibrating it...
Power Of The Ocean - Meditating On Your Void & Spirit.
There's a tremendous untapped power within you, centred around your stomach. In Sahaja yoga this area is called the 'Void' or 'Bhavasagara' - meaning 'Ocean of illusion'. If life can sometimes feel like tossing about in waves, then regular meditation on your Void is equivalent to building a strong boat to easily ride the waves. The captain of that boat is your spirit ('atma'). Meditate to this...
Inner Guru - Why You Need To Be Your Own Boss.
Reflected in each individual is the archetype of the 'primordial master' or guru, which when awakened with kundalini awakening becomes an inner guiding light which helps you with whatever you're involved in that requires you to make decisions. This inner light is also your spirit  - your most truest self. And when you make the connection: guru-inner light -spirit, then certain things become possible...

"...when Kundalini rises, She 'elongates' these[your] thoughts and there is a space created. In Sanskrit, it is called as 'vilamba'[a pause]. So your mind stands at that place where you have  thoughtless awareness...in which Divine works...[She] passes through the fontanel bone area[crown of head] and becomes one with the All Pervading Power of Divine Love[Yoga], which is very subtle and you also start becoming your subtler personality [sensitive to vibes]. This is the actualization of baptism, . ..This is the last break-through of your evolution."

Consider acquiring a new skill or enhancing an existing one by taking a course* in your free time, and then using it to move into a better paid role, that you're happier about.

Or, if you have a talent or hobby in something, why not turn it into a side-hustle and make some extra income from that. Etsy.com is a good place to start.

Also outer circumstances are usually a reflection of the inner state, and not the other way round . So, work on yourself. This could involve a change of habits such as: sleeping earlier and waking up earlier; daily meditation to invest in your mental wellbeing; following an exercise program and making sure you're eating right.

With the meditation, you'll need to work on: left nabhi , right swadisthan , centre heart and front agnya chakras. See Sahaja Yoga Guide To Looking After Your Chakras.

How To 'Detox' Your Past...With A Lemon!

Achieving Your Health, Wealth & Happiness By 10-Minutes Daily Thoughtless Awareness.

How To 'Detox' Your Past. With A Lemon!

Dear Friend,

We're each a time-capsule of all the experiences we've had, and it is this that makes us the person we are today.

Good experiences , particularly in childhood, may be fondly remembered but if there were bad experiences, then these tend to leave the bigger mark; usually subconsciously.

Cognitive behavioural therapy(CBT), psychoanalysis and childhood regression therapy are examples of established methods  to help with mental and emotional health, rooted in the subconscious (past).

In Sahaja yoga, your past and subconscious is mirrored in the 'ida nadi' (left channel / moon channel) and with daily meditation, your kundalini slowly clears your left channel to bring about wellness. To speed this up , it's been discovered that sleeping with lemon(s) near where your head is placed on the pillow can help to 'suck out' any negativity 'haunting' you on the left.

If this sounds like a strange use for a food item - traditionally used in India - then remember what garlic is famous for :o).

The 7-night lemon 'detox' ( which includes chillies) is given below. When you try it, keep a dream journal beside your bed. You'll have some interesting and revealing dreams which you can write down.

Also below: hidden help for you when you need it, and how to touch a deeper level of inner silence.

Best wishes

'Providence' - Help, When You Need It.
There's a solution to everything but difficult to see, when all you can see is the problem. The trick is to be open to a change in perspective and a willingness to disown the problem, which is easy to do when you're letting your daily meditation work for you. It's your kundalini that connects you to just the right thing at the right time - the definition of 'Providence'. Here's a 2 minute anecdote to illustrate it....
Achieving 'Samadhi' With The Power Of Mantra Meditation.
Imagine being in a state in which you're almost not aware of your body, and are absorbed into a deep silence that connects you to a vast totality. That is the state of Samadhi . It's described in the Yoga Sutras Of Patanjali as being the aim and purpose of the practice of yoga - easy to talk about but not easy to get to. The following mantra meditation can give you a taste of it...
How To Rid Your Home Of Negative Vibes...With A Lemon.
Certain things simply cannot be explained, but they work. One of these is the use of lemons to do a 'detox' of your living space, when things aren't shifting with your daily meditation. To 'charge' the lemons first , you can leave them in front of your meditation photo to vibrate, before placing them in corners . This YouTube Guy shows you what happens to the lemons ...

" That is why your spirit should be awakened.[through kundalini awakening]...You will know yourself only when that happens.[..] And when you realize who this "I" is, then it is so astonishing to find that, like a drop in the ocean, we also vanish[ human awareness merges with Reality/Truth ie. Yoga] in the ocean of love. And that ocean, that all pervading power of love (vibrations) gives us everything. All our ambitions are fulfilled, and all our questions are answered. Only these vibrations have the power to do this."

" I seem to go from one failed relationship to another. Is it my fault that I go for people who treat me bad? "
In Reply:

The answer is no, it's not your fault. The template for this may have been laid at a formative age when you had no control over the circumstances. Don't let that define you; use the 'Matka' treatment below to break the cycle.
