Future-proofing Yourself. AI, Economics & Work.

Achieving Your Health, Wealth & Happiness By 10-Minutes Daily Thoughtless Awareness.

Future-proofing Yourself. AI, Economics & Work.

Dear Friend,

Whatever you do for a living you can be certain that AI (artificial intelligence) is going to affect it in some way.

There are 3 reasons why:
  • Agentic AI - This is where AI can handle the end-to-end work flow for a job by breaking it down into steps and dividing it up among AI 'agents' that talk to each other. An example is Manus.
  • ChatGPT with arms and legs (autonomous robots). These are robots that can carry out actions in the real world based on spoken instructions. An example is Google's Gemini Robots.
  • Artificial General Intelligence - This is where the AI is able to 'think' in a versatile way like a human being and able to understand text, video and the spoken word (multimodal). Interview with Demis Hassabis.
Here's what Shri Mataji had to say about all of this back in 1984 ( yes, 1984 before the internet!):

"That the machine one day if you do not assert your freedom and a proportionate understanding of the powers of machine also, you might just be finished completely. You can see that these computers now can speak, can take over. Supposing something goes wrong with the computer, it can start devouring the whole world. How can you stop it?"

A brilliant economist called John Maynard-Keynes made a prediction in 1930 about the future of work - that we'd be working just 15-hours a week, the rest of the time being spent in leisure activities.

Presumably, the 15-hour weeks will be made possible by the AI.

However things develop, we may be moving into a time when what we do for a living no longer defines us as much; which we got a preview of during the pandemic.

The best way to prepare for this is to cultivate the one thing that nobody can take away from you, that is your Spirit. More below.

Also below: chill out with 3 minutes of classical cello; and, clearing your throat so your hands can speak better.

Best wishes

De-Stress in 3 minutes by Swanning Around to Yo-yo Ma on Cello.
Here's another example of a piece of music that will calm you down completely and make you meditative. It's the musical version of a swan gliding serenely down a river. Played beautifully here by famous French-American Cellist Yo-yo Ma and Kathryn Stott on piano. 21 million other people listened...

Quote of the Week

"The poverty and sickness will be completely finished and in their absence the country, the samaja, the society will be healthy and restful and without any anger. "
(quoting text from 1400-year old prediction about the future of humanity)

January 30th 1982, Sholapur (India).

I've heard the word 'bandhan' in SY used in two different ways. Could you explain the difference?
In Reply:

The first type of bandhan (1) is to shield your aura and is used at the beginning and end of your meditation, and also when you leave the house.

This involves moving your right hand in a horse-shoe arc over your body, seven times.

The second type of bandhan (2) is a way of making use of the vibes flowing though your hands to channelise your problems and worries into the 'paramachaitanya' ( self-organising principle of Nature) for a solution.

This involves finger-writing the issue in your left palm and rotating your right hand over it in a clockwise direction, until the left palm feels cool.

Snow White, You, & the 7 Dwarfs. Gaining Fulfilment through Jungian Psychology.

Achieving Your Health, Wealth & Happiness By 10-Minutes Daily Thoughtless Awareness.

Snow White, You, & the 7 Dwarfs. Gaining Fulfilment through Jungian Psychology.

Dear Friend,

Your collective unconscious ( ref: Jung) can guide you.

Last week the movie that most people in the US and UK were going to the cinema to watch was Snow White.

On the surface, the movie is about an orphaned princess banished to the forest and finding refuge with some little people - 7 of them.

How she then eats a poisoned apple and falls asleep. And is then brought back to life by a kiss. Then returns to her kingdom (with the kisser) and regains it from the Queen, her wicked step-mother.

But childhood fairy tales like Snow White are said to be windows into the collective unconscious according to Jungian psychologist, Marie-Luise von Franz, in her book The Interpretation of Fairy Tales.

So taking permission from Marie-Luise, here's an  interpretation of Snow White in a way that's most relevant to you.

Sleeping Snow White is represented by the dormant kundalini. Until kundalini is awakened the awareness (kingdom)  is ruled by the ego ( Step-mother, Queen causing misery and strife).

When kundalini is awakened, she rises, pausing at 7 chakras in an under-developed state ( 7 dwarfs) on her journey to regain her kingdom at Sahasrara.

When her kingdom is regained, enlightened awareness rules. She showers peace, happiness and wellbeing on her subjects.

If you needed another reason to practice your daily kundalini meditation, then that is it. More below.

Also below: Getting good vibes from the food you eat; and, building up your strength and resilience by meditating on your core.

Best wishes

Eat Love - Why You Should Vibrate Your Food.
Eating too much take-away or restaurant food can make you an unhappy person. The reason is that the meal you eat carries the vibes of the person who prepared it. That person is unlikely to have been your mum, so the food could lack some love. Since we are what we eat, best put some love into your food by vibrating it. Here's how that helps you...
Between a Rock & a Hard Place - Mastering Difficulty (Meditation on Your Void).
Your Void (abdominal viscera also known as your 'core') can be the source of tremendous strength and equilibrium whenever you're in a tight spot. Here's a short meditation to develop your mastery in any situation...
Gaining Fulfillment - A Jungian Approach.
You're complicated. We're all complicated. This is because your impulses and motivations come from a place you have no conscious control over - the human psyche. However, that's OK. With your kundalini being roused like Snow White from sleep, she opens the following path to fulfillment...

Quote of the Week

" [The] only person who saw it quite clearly, was Jung. And he said that you have to be Self-realized in which you become collectively conscious. He just made one mistake, I think. He thought that the conscious mind has to go to the subconscious to reach the Unconscious."

August 12th 1988, Geneva (Switzerland).

My work is very busy and I carry some of that stress home with me, which makes it difficult to meditate in the evening. Is it OK to just meditate in the morning?
In Reply:

The trick for being able to meditate in the evening after a busy day is to footsoak after work.

The vital function of the footsoak is to help you to discharge all that static energy build-up that comes from your daily battles at work.

The morning meditation is to set you up for a great day ahead by nurturing your creativity, focus, and sense of being in control.

The evening meditation is for 'rest & digest' which allows your healing and growth.
