Breaking a Habit. Using Power of Positive Thinking to Change Stories You Tell Yourself.
Dear Friend,
We’ve been listening to stories since we were young and as we grow we like to make up some of our own. It becomes a habit of the brain.
It’s the only way we know to try and make sense of the world; by fitting it into an orderly narrative.
But, mostly the stories we tell ourselves are not true and yet our waking moments are guided by them.
Stories have their place. Who hasn’t watched a movie or read a book and didn’t feel that they had grown in some way. Richard Payment, a regular meditator, makes this point in his post : The Power of Stories to Make You Grow.
If, on the other hand, the running commentary of thoughts in your head (story) as you go about your day, is limiting you or making you unhappy, then it’s time for change.
Your daily kundalini meditation is lifting you beyond the running commentary of thinking into a space where the thinking is all positive and the thoughts (not yours) think themselves.
This is what the Paramachaitanya - the self-organising principle of Nature that your kundalini merges you into - is.
It’s this power of positive thinking (meta-thinking) that produces solutions to problems you couldn’t solve; that gives you inspiration when you need it; and which is trying to beautify your life at every moment.
So time to break a habit and change the stories you’re telling yourself by thinking outside the box (your brain). more below.
Also below: your chance to consult an Ayurvedic doctor; and, a meditation to bring joy to your heart and wallet.
Best wishes
