Is a Little Alcohol a Good Thing? What The Liver Has to Say.

Achieving Your Health, Wealth & Happiness By 10-Minutes Daily Thoughtless Awareness.

Is a Little Alcohol a Good Thing? What The Liver Has to Say.

Dear Friend,

If you work in a certain kind of office you may be familiar with the after-work ritual of the team visit to  the pub.

The drinks are ordered and arrive. As the alcohol begins to kick-in, people begin to relax. The work tension goes away. The tongue is loosened.

This is the effect of alcohol acting as a 'social lubricant' . It breaks the ice and people can bond better.

If the pub is not your thing then maybe it's the family gathering; or the party, or even the wedding reception that you get invited to, where drinks are served.

Or, perhaps, you enjoy a glass by yourself at home after a busy day to take the edge off things.

In all these cases, the 'positives' may be being outweighed by the downsides. That is according to not only this Advisory from the US Surgeon General, but also from your liver's point of view.

According to yoga, the liver is the 'seat of your attention' or awareness. It acts like your car windscreen.

In a similar way that a car windscreen gives you a view of the road in front of you, your awareness / attention gives you the experience of yourself as well as the world around you.

In its pristine state, your awareness / attention is 'pratyaksha' which you had in early childhood.

Over the course of time, with the development of speech, language, thinking, experiences, diet, alcohol, drugs, the state of pratyaksha is lost.

To regain pratyaksha , the liver has to detoxify, helped by your kundalini's action on your right swadisthana chakra with your daily meditation.

This is like turning on the windscreen wipers in adverse weather conditions.

The most 'adverse weather conditions' are those things that damage the liver in the long-term, which are alcohol and drugs. More below.

Best wishes

Think Less, Worry Less - The Power of Your Mental Silence.
According to research, about 90% of what people worry about never happens. And in the small percentage of cases where it does happen, it turns out not to be as bad as expected and is completely manageable. The conclusion is that if you tend to worry about things then you're likely wasting your time. Here's how the power of your mental silence fixes that.
The 'Liver Diet' : What's Hot, What's Not.
In Ayurvedic medicine, an excess of pitta dosha,  sometimes referred to as 'aggravated pitta' mostly affects the liver . This can lead to inflammatory symptoms such hyperacidity, skin and digestive problems as well as quick temper and irritability. Alcohol is pitta-creating and so are certain foods that you might be eating . To help your liver out, here are some tips from the 'liver diet'...

Quote of the Week

" The awareness is spread in your Void (abdominal viscera). The awareness, the chitta, the attention is in your Void and is nourished by your liver. The liver takes out all the poison from your awareness, due to bad health, due to bad mind, due to anything from bad effects or negativity and then it clears out.  Your awareness is to be enlightened."

How can I develop myself spiritually?

The only real way to grow is through your daily meditation.

Imagine yourself as an upside down tree with the roots in the brain (sahasrara) and the branches in the body.

Your kundalini acts like a tap root that pushes deeper down, when you're thoughtless.

As she pushes deeper down you feel the effect as a more continuous flow of vibes, even when you're not meditating.

With this, your sense of wellbeing increases and begins to permeate the things around you.

Oura Health Tracking? Why You're Already Covered.

Achieving Your Health, Wealth & Happiness By 10-Minutes Daily Thoughtless Awareness.

Oura Health Tracking? Why You're Already Covered.

Dear Friend,

First there was FitBit, then there was the Apple watch and now there's the Oura ring.

If you're the kind of person that likes tracking your health, then you may be one of the 5.5 million people worldwide already wearing an Oura ring.

If you're not wearing one and perhaps don't know what it is, it's a ring with built-in sensors that's fits snugly on your finger and measures biometrics, like your heart rate, blood oxygen and sleep cycle.

The data is sent to the Oura app on your phone via Bluetooth and displayed as graphs. You can then use this information to modify your behaviour or activity to try and push the graphs to an optimum.

In this way, it's a form a personalised preventative medicine.

One small detail: the Oura ring costs about £300 and there's a monthly subscription cost of £6 to get full access to the biometric data.

Compare that with the following.

The 'Self-realization'  you have as a result of your kundalini awakening is also referred to in yoga as 'Atma bodh'.

'Atma' means your spirit or essential self and 'bodh' means 'knowledge' and is where the words 'buddhi' (intelligence) and 'buddha' ('enlightened one') have come from.

'Bodh' is also related to the Sanskrit word 'Ved' from which the word 'Vedas' has come from. Both 'bodh' and 'ved' mean the knowledge experienced directly on your nerves and representing absolute truth.

When you're sitting in meditation and can feel the vibes on your hands and fingers, that is the 'bodh' that your feeling.

When you feel tingling or heat on a particular finger or fingers, that is also the 'bodh' indicating to you a problem on a chakra. And the chakras look after the organs.

You can clear the problem on the chakra very simply sometimes by rubbing the tingling finger.

This makes your practice of Sahaja yoga the ultimate in preventative medicine. No Oura ring needed. More below.

Also below: the impressive things that your daily meditation may be doing to your brain; and, an easy way for you to achieve balance and calm.

Best wishes

Watch 14-Year Old Sahaja Yogi Breaking 6 Guinness World Records in Mental Maths.
Aaryan Shukla says he practices his kundalini meditation to keep calm and focused. This allows him to do such things as adding up one hundred 4-digit numbers in his head in 30 seconds. OK, so you might not necessarily want to do that, but we could all use some of that calm and focus to get ahead in other ways, right? Watch him add numbers up faster than his dad can punch them up on a calculator...
Balance - Clearing Your Left & Right Channels to Achieve Calm ( a Meditation).
Your emotional memory is represented by your 'ida nadi' ( left channel). Your plans for the future sit on your 'pingala nadi' (right channel). You're most effective in the present, when you're at your calmest. Here's a quick meditation to balance yourself and rise...
Self-Diagnosing Yourself on Fingers.
Your organs map onto your chakras. Your chakras map onto your fingers. If there's a problem with an organ, you'll feel it on your fingers long before it becomes something that you need to see you doctor about. This fact could have been the origin of the ancient saying : 'Physician heal thyself'. You do become your own 'physician' . Here's Shri Mataji telling it...

Quote of the Week

"This is the most beautiful thing that you have. This cures cancer. This cures all kind of mental troubles, emotional troubles, physical troubles, because the source of all the vitality starts flowing through you.

Then it opens out this fontanel bone area. You can feel the cool breeze coming out. You can feel also the cool breeze coming out of your hands. It is so clear cut that we have here three or four doctors (who are also Sahaja yogis) diagnosing through Sahaja Yoga. It’s so clear-cut and you know what you are doing. "

While meditating sometimes I've noticed that the candle flame sometimes sputters and grows big before becoming normal and steady again. What's causing that?
In Reply:

According to Shri Mataji, when you place a candle next to your meditation photo to meditate, the vibes from the photo can give the candle flame a 'curative' or purifying quality that it wouldn't otherwise have.

So the flame can purify by burning away any subtle forms of negativity that may be in the immediate environment or even hitching a ride on your person.

This can sometimes lead to the flame 'dancing' in the way you describe, as a reaction.
