Marking an Important Time. Maha Kumbha Mela 2025.Dear Friend,
Here's how you're connected to a major festival happening in India between January 13th and February 26th, 2025.
The festival is the Maha Kumbha Mela which happens every 12 years and will take place at Prayagraj located at the meeting point of 3 of India's holy rivers.
400 million people are expected to attend. To give you some idea of what that might look like, imagine every man, woman and child in America (population : 335 million) all deciding to visit Times Square in New York City.
The 'Kumbha' in the title refers to a mythological pot of nectar that was able to grant immortality. People attend to symbolically benefit in some way from a place where a drop of the nectar is said to have fallen.
Mythology can be thought of as a way of transmitting information down through time in the form of a story, because stories are easier to remember.
The only problem is that the story can take on a life of it's own and the original information gets lost. So then you end up with just a myth.
Every time you sit down in Kundalini meditation you become an embodiment of that lost information.
Your Kundalini is the Kumbha. When She rises up above Sahasrara chakra, She touches a point called 'amrita dayini' ( 'she who gives the nectar of immortality' - not literal).
This is how you're getting all the benefits of your kundalini meditation to your health and well-being.
Kumbha is also Aquarius and according to astrology, the world has now moved into the Age of Aquarius ie. the Age of Kundalini.
So as you do your daily meditation, remember that you've saved yourself the cost of the airfare to Prayagraj in India to attend the Maha Kumbha Mela. More below.
Also below: There's nothing like doing a fire cleanse on the things that are bothering you; and, putting your heart into something leads to better results.
Best wishesP. PS. Moon Calendar (at end) this coming week: Mon. 13th January - Full Moon (Early to bed); Fri.17th - Sankashti Chaturthi (Difficult problems solved easily). |
