Towards the bottom end of High Street Kensington in London, a Longevity clinic has recently replaced something related  - a non-stop party shop selling balloons and birthday cards.

The 'clinic' is called Get-a-Drip, where you can voluntarily ( at a cost) be hooked up to a line that pumps vitamins directly into your bloodstream.

Back in the opposite direction, not far from Harrods, and perhaps catering more to the steady stream of Kuwaitis and Qataris out on walks, there's another Longevity clinic.

This is called HVN where you can lie back in what looks like a space pod and breath in pure oxygen.

And it's not just in London where people are chasing the next wellness trend.

In Dubai, The Hortman Clinic is using peptide therapyIn New York, they're aiming at corporate executives.

And at the Clinique La Praire in Switzerland you can go on a longevity retreat.

One of the predictions about the future state of society is that people will no longer get sick or grow old.

So while the aspiration to look younger and better is in the right direction, longevity clinics may not be the idea that the ancient yogis had in mind.

Whether or not you're aware, you're engaged in the yogis' longevity practice every time you do your daily kundalini meditation. More below.

What's the next stage after thoughtless awareness?

If you're able to remain in the mentally silent state (thoughtless awareness) even for a few minutes at a time, it begins to show it's effects in how you feel about yourself and life in general.

But it's still possible to slip back into old ways of thinking and trying to solve problems when they occur. There are still doubts and a lack of confidence in yourself.

As thoughtless awareness becomes easier to get into with your daily practice, you become more confident in your ability to ride any problem out, based on previous positive experiences you've had.

This is the beginning of the second stage, which is called 'doubtless awareness' or 'nirvikalpa samadhi' in Sanskrit.
