Ibiza or Ganapatipule? How To Holiday For Growth.

Dear Friend,

Apparently, Ibiza is great if you want to dance all night and watch the sunrise from the beach.

Nobody I've spoken to say that they didn't have a nice time in Ibiza. In fact, it's a place that many choose to return to again and again for holidays.

I've never been to Ibiza but the place I chose to return to again and again for the experience is a place in India off the Arabian sea, called Ganapatipule.

The significance of Ganapatipule in yoga is that it is a Swayambhu.

A Swayambhu is a location where the Mother Earth appears to have pushed up a rock formation that has some vague resemblance to an aspect of divinity.

The Swayambhu in Ganapatipule is a form of Ganesha ( Ganapati) which, in yoga, is the deity associated with both the mooladhara chakra and the back agnya (occipital bump).

Another example of a Ganesha Swayambhu is Uluru rock of the Aborigines in Australia.

The thing about visiting these Swayambhus is that it's the equivalent to standing next to an electrical power station - they emit waves of vibes which can super-boost your chakras.

So when planning your next holiday give Ibiza a miss.

Choose, instead, a place off the beaten track, like Ganapatipule. It will make you grow in ways you couldn't imagine. More below.

Also below: surprise a friend by cooking them an African dish; and, a meditation for lifting your mood everyday.

Best wishes

P.

How to Make a Popular African Dish - Fried Plantain & Black-Eye Beans.
Ask any school kid in West Africa what their favourite meal is and they'll probably say this one. It has powered a lot of athletic prowess. Here's how to make some in the traditional way... while thoughtless.
Getting That Birthday Feeling Everyday (a Meditation).
It doesn't have to be your birthday for you to be in a good mood. You can get into it now and whenever you want by paying a few minutes attention to your 'ida nadi' ( left channel), and heart and mooladhara chakras with this short meditation.
Ganapatipule - Going Beyond Your Mind.
When you visit Ganapatipule you can leave a changed person. This is because of it's deep vibrational effect on certain chakras. These are your mooladahara (stability & resilience) and back agnya (the hold past events, such as a trauma, still have on you). In addition, because Ganapatipule is next to the sea, it clears your Void ( abdominal viscera) which gives you greater mastery over yourself. Ultimately, it takes you beyond your mind...

Quote of the Week

"So this is a very good chance for you we have come here [Ganapatipule]. Of course it’s a beautiful place and all that. But it’s mainly the thing why I thought of bringing you here [is] that it may suddenly give you a big boost up and you might rise very high; for which I may not be able to really arrange otherwise, this kind of ascent which is possible.

Many of the Indians have not even seen this place before. It’s such a beautiful place and they are surprised that in India we have such beautiful places! And after coming here they have felt the beauty, the auspiciousness, the wisdom of choosing this place. It’s so lovable, so beautiful. But I hope I see the effects of that in you."

December 31st 1985, Ganpatipule (India).

I'm noticing the better effect on how I feel when I use the meditation photo with my meditation, which I wasn't before. Can I download one for my Mom, who I've introduced SY meditation to?

To download a meditation photo open my dropbox folder here.

You'll notice that there are different photos available in the folder so you can choose which one you prefer.

Most people use the familar 'abhaya-varada mudra' hand gestures photo for their meditation.

All the photos emit vibes when properly looked after* ie glass-framed.

The special quality of the 'abhaya-varada mudra' photo is that it has a protective power ('abhaya' meaning 'fear-removing') and lucky ('varada' meaning 'giving you what you want').

The other photos can be used for meditation too or placed in other rooms simply to lift the vibes.
