Growth Spurt. How To Overcome Things Holding You Back.

Growth Spurt. How To Overcome Things Holding You Back.

Dear Friend,

When your kundalini is first awakenedshe breaks 3 'locks' within you on her journey from your sacrum to your fontanel.

The 'locks' called 'granthis' in Sanskrit are : Brahma granthi, Vishnu granthi and Rudra granthi.

As a result of your kundalini breaking these locks, your awareness or attention is able to detach itself from the mundane experience of the world for the first ever time, and rise into a unique state.

But because this happening takes place in a matter of seconds, most people are unaware of it. This is why the immense transformative power of kundalini awakening is lost on many people.

The attention sinks back into it's comfort zone and it's as if nothing happened.

However, the transformative power can be recovered with desire. This is the pure desire which the kundalini herself represents.

It is the subconscious desire for ultimate fulfilment and liberation; otherwise known as yoga or union with the divine.

If the desire is not attended to (by inner communion with your own kundalini) then her subconscious prompting is experienced as a general nameless dissatisfaction with everything - can't get no joy.

As soon as you turn inwards for that inner communion, your kundalini re-energises herself and a lot of people experience the equivalent of a 'growth spurt'.

It's as if those 3 locks are broken anew and it coincides with managing to overcome something in your outer life that was holding you back. More below.

Best wishes

Working It Out by Finding Your Inner Spirit of the Dance.
There's a genre of music in West Africa called 'High Life'. And on Friday nights in clubs across the region there are masses of smiling, sweaty, faces swaying and singing along to songs such as the one here by Daddy Lumba called Gyama Abɔ Woso, a love ballad. Shri Shiva , the deity of your left heart chakra and the source of joy, is also called 'Nataraja' , meaning 'Lord of the Dance' . You may not know what the lyrics mean but you can feel its pulse...
Conquering Overthinking with the 'Paused Breath' Technique.
The pattern of your breathing is linked to mental and emotional states. It may not be easy to control what's going on in your head. But you can control your breath. Use this short guided meditation, based on yoga pranayama (breath control), to get relief from a busy mind...

Quote of the Week

"The first (state of ) consciousness you develop is called as thoughtless awareness. In the “Patanjali Yogashastra”, it’s called “nirvichara samadhi”.

The second stage is when you rise above this... then this state starts settling down and the gap (pause in thinking) starts increasing in size. So that’s how your spiritual growth starts now. Then you start using this power (vibes) which flows through your hand and you reach a state where you become “nirvikalpa samadhi”, where there is no doubt. All the knowledge dawns upon you."

What mantra can I say to help me with my self-confidence?
In Reply:

Self-confidence comes from a strong centre heart chakra. The universal archetype for the centre heart chakra is 'Jagadamba' - described as the Mother of the Universe.

The heart chakra has 12 petals, so you chant 'Jagad-amba' twelve times (starting with 'OM')  while having your attention on the sternum bone at the centre of your chest.

When you get used to saying it , you can experiment by taking a deep breath and repeating Jagadamba twelve times on one breath.
